COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A south Columbus gas station is becoming the latest scene in central Ohio's heroin epidemic.
Police say they were called to a Circle K on College Avenue twice in the past week to find overdose victims.
In one case, a man was found passed out in his car. In the other, a woman overdosed in a bathroom with her young child.
Neighbors say the recent cases show the epidemic knows no boundaries.
During an event in central Ohio Wednesday, Attorney General Mike DeWine was asked if accessing the state's Rainy Day Fund would be appropriate to help fight the opiate problem. While not verbalizing a response, DeWine did nod his head in agreement.
