Thompson Gone....Is Williams Next?

One bit of Ohio State basketball news was not a surprise but another piece was shocking. The expected news came from big man Trevor Thompson, who a year ago put his name into the NBA draft, but did not sign with an agent, and returned. Following his junior year, Thompson again declared for the draft but this time, it was expected that he would be gone for good. That became official Tuesday, when it was announced that Thompson had signed with an agent.

While it was believed that Thompson would be moving on, no one thought Kam Williams, who averaged 9.4 points a game, shot less than 40 percent from the field and just 37 percent from 3-point range, would be considering going pro--but apparently he is. When the NBA's official list of 137 underclassmen who had declared for the draft came out, Williams name was on it.

Williams has not signed with an agent at this point, so he could return. He has until May 25 to decide.
