Singer Brett Kissel was at the mic, ready to sing the U.S. National Anthem as the Edmonton Oilers hosted the Anaheim Ducks in game three of their Western Conference semi-final series. Unfortunately, that mic did not cooperate. A malfunction created a dilemma for Kissel. He was trying to sing, but could not be heard as the mic failed. Thinking quickly, Kissel directed the crowd to sing. Remember, though--this is in Edmonton--not Anaheim. Would the Canadian fans know the words? Would they join in? Yes on both counts. It turned a microphone mishap into a powerful moment. Check it all out here.
