Cardale Jones was already a national champion quarterback. After Sunday, he's also a college graduate. It's quite an achievement for a guy who was once suspended--during his freshman year--for lashing out about school on Twitter--a moment Jones himself re-visited.
Jones, who continued to pursue his degree even after playing for the NFL's Buffalo Bills this year, is the first member of his family to earn a college degree. He joins his friend, fellow quarterback and former teammate J.T. Barrett as college graduates. They were both coached at Ohio State by Tom Herman. The then QB coach and offensive coordinator at OSU is now head coach at the University of Texas. Herman remained close to both of those Buckeye QB's---so much so, that when Jones accepted his diploma in Ohio Stadium Sunday, Herman was there to see it.
Jones wasn't the only Buckeye football star to earn his degree. Nine OSU players graduated, including captain Billy Price who will play a senior season next year. So will defensive tackle Tracy Sprinkle who will return from injury next season. Here's a quick look at some of the graduating Football Buckeyes.
