Shaq for sheriff

Former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal wants to be a sheiff, telling Atlanta TV station WXIA that he's going to run for the job in 2020. Shaq said he hasn't decided where he's going to run, but Fox News said that he could do it in Henry County, Georgia, where he's a resident, and where the sheriff is up for re-election in 2020. He also has residency in Florida and could do it there, or he could move somewhere and establish residency before running in three years. Shaq has been outspoken in his support of law enforcement and is an honorary deputy in Clayton County, although he has little actual policing experience. He told WXIA, "This is not about politics. This is about bringing people closer together. You know, when I was coming up, people loved and respected the police, the deputies. And, I want to be the one to bring that back, especially in the community I serve."
