Wexner Medical Center CEO steps down

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- The head of Ohio State's Wexner Medical Center is stepping down amid employees' unrest.

Dr. Sheldon Retchin resigned Tuesday as hospital CEO and Vice President of Health Sciences, saying a recent no-confidence vote damaged relationships between himself and the community.

OSU officials say medical center employees' concerns about patient safety on Retchin's watch were untrue.
