Spielman Scramble Golfers Give Back

We owe a big thank you to some wonderful fans and listeners of both 610 WTVN and our sister station 105.7, the Zone. On Tuesday, at Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club, we had a full flight of golfers who participated in the "Spielman Scramble"

Spielman Scramble

Former Buckeye and NFL great Chris Spielman, part of "Spielman and Hooley" weekday mornings on the Zone, hosted the event to raise money for the Stefanie Spielman Fund For Breast Cancer Research.

"It's humbling," Spielman said of the turnout at the outing and the support for the fund. "It's a testimonial to Stef's legacy."

The golf outing is one of countless fund raisers for the Stefanie Spielman Fund, which this past year surpassed $20 million raised since it's inception.

"Our original goal was something like $250 thousand dollars," Spielman said. "It's unbelievable (to reach $20 million). It's one of those things that if someone would have told me (the fund would grow this much) I would have said, 'no way...that's impossible.'"

The weather cooperated as well. Again--thanks to all that participated. Here's some of the sights from Tuesday's event.
