One dead, one hurt in east side gunfire


COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Columbus police are reviewing surveillance camera video as they search for more clues about deadly gunfire on the east side early Thursday.

It's not clear yet what sparked the shooting around 2 a.m. near the intersection of James Rd. and E. Main St.

When police arrived, they discovered one of the victims at a gas station.  He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries.

Another man was found along James Rd. a short distance from the gas station. He did not survive.

Police have not released the name of either man yet.

The investigation had the intersection of E. Main St. and James Rd. closed for around four hours.
