SANDUSKY, Ohio (WTVN)--Cedar Point amusement park has taken the wraps off of its latest thrill ride, which is set to open in 2018.
The "Steel Vengeance" is being called a "hyper-hybrid" coaster, with a steel track and a wooden structure.
It's set to break several records when it opens, including the world's tallest hybrid coaster, at 205 feet, the world's fastest hybrid coaster, at 74-miles-an-hour, the steepest drop, at 90-degrees, and the most inversions for a hybrid coaster, with four.
Construction began on the coaster shortly after the closing of the "Mean Streak", which ceased operations in 2016.
The coaster is being constructed by Rocky Mountain Construction, out of Idaho.
