Four hurt in buggy-car crash

MIDDLEBURY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTVN) -- A 13-week old girl is among the four people hurt when a car slammed into the back of a horse-drawn buggy in Morrow County late Monday.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 43-year old Tammy Green drove her car into the back of the buggy along Waterford Road (County Road 6) northwest of State Route 13 around 8 p.m.

The man who was operating the buggy--43-year old David Yoder of Fredericktown-- was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and later transferred to the OSU Medical Center.

Yoder's 44-year old wife Emma was rushed by helicopter to OSU with injuries described as "life-threatening."

The couple's 13-week old daughter is being treated at Nationwide Children's Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Green was taken to Knox County Community Hospital with minor injuries.

The Highway Patrol says alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash.
