U.S. 33 West in Marysville remains closed

10:45 a.m. update from ODOT:

"All lanes of US 33 westbound remain closed in Union County between the Scottslawn exit and US 42 after a dump truck struck the bridge at Beecher Gamble Road. The exit from US 33 to Rt. 42 is open.

ODOT bridge inspectors are at the crash location. The county has closed Beecher Gamble Road.

Until the bed of the dump truck-- which is still wedged under the bridge-- is removed, a full inspection can not be performed.

So traffic is not stuck on US 33, the following ramps in Franklin County are closed:

-Post/161 entrance ramp to US 33 west.

-Exit from US 33 west to Post Road.

The detour for US 33 west is US 42 north to US 23 north to US 36 west to US 33."



MARYSVILLE, Ohio (WTVN) -- As of 10:30 a.m. Thursday, U.S. 33 West in Marysville remains closed at U.S. 42.

A dump truck hit the Beecher Gamble Road bridge over U.S. 33 earlier in the morning and ODOT has to inspect the bridge before it's opened back up to make sure it's safe.

Drivers headed west on U.S. 33 will have to exit at U.S. 42 north.

The detour is U.S. 42 north to U.S. 23 north to U.S. 36 west back to U.S. 33.

Drivers are also advised to avoid Beecher Gamble Road between Derio Road and Industrial Parkway.
