Columbus shooting victims identified

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Columbus police identified the two people shot this week on the North Side.

They say it was around 1:30 p.m. Thursday when they responded to the area of Joyce Ave. and Republic Ave. and found two people with gunshot wounds laying on the porch of a home.

Theodore Stokes, 20, was taken to Grant Medical Center and died later that afternoon.

Police say 24-year old Jacques Gavin, the other man who was shot , is expected to survive.

Police believe there was an exchange of gunfire between at least one of the victims and the shooter or shooters. They drove off in a green minivan and are still at large.
