Columbus officer apologizes

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- The Columbus police officer who was caught on camera threatening to kill a suspect during an arrest is offering an apology.

Officer Joseph Bogard--through a statement from the police union--acknowledged that he is subject to discipline.

Bogard's comments surfaced in a review of his body camera footage during the arrest of Timothy Davis earlier this month.

An investigation is underway into whether Bogard's comments are a reflection of his overall job performance.
