Bill named for murdered OSU student aimed at tracking violent ex-prisoners

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A criminal justice reform bill named for a murdered Ohio State student has been introduced at the Statehouse.

Members of Reagan Tokes family were on hand Wednesday for the bill named in her memory.

Brian Golsby is facing the death penalty for killing Tokes earlier this year after she left her job in the Short North.

Golsby had been under GPS monitoring after his release from prison on violent crime charges.

The measure is expected to close loopholes in the sentencing and post-release tracking of violent criminals.
