Ohio Gov. John Kasich Reflective on Vegas in Video

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- "To those who have lost people that they love, we're so deeply sorry. We pray for you.

"Ohio Governor John Kasich has taken to Twitter with a 5-minute, 56-second video recording in which he reflects inward about the massacre in Las Vegas, in which so far 59 people have died as a result of the attack which police say was perpetrated by Stephen Paddock, from his 32nd floor hotel suite at Mandalay Bay.

"I don't know why these things can happen. It's pure evil, as the President said. Just pure evil," Kasich said. He added, when something like what happened in Las Vegas happens, all Americans are connected. He says it's a piece of all of us that's wounded or killed.

Kasich says he wanted to "record these words, because we're all so shaken and wondering where we go."
