IRONTON, Ohio (WTVN)--The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Aaron Lawson has been taken into custody for the four murders from the same home near Pedro on Wednesday.
Sheriff Jeffrey Lawless says officers canvassed the area they believed Lawson may have been trying to hide. "A tip from a citizen who saw him walking at the 1700 block of County Road 52 notified the Sheriff's office, and officers who were working the area quickly intercepted him as he walking down the road. Lawson did not flee the officers, and was willing to give up, " said Lawless.
Lawson was wanted for the murders of 50-year-old Donald McGuire, 43-year-old Tammy McGuire, 28-year-old Stacy Jackson, and 8-year-old Devin Holston. All of them appeared to have suffered from gunshot wounds, according to Sheriff Lawless.
The Montgomery County Coroner is conducting the autopsies.
Lawson was booked into the Lawrence County Jail, where he is awaiting arraignment on murder charges.
Investigators are still looking for a motive for the murders. A 5th man was also stabbed at a different residence Wednesday, and is believed to be connected to the murders. That victim remains in the hospital.
