Ohio State sued for refusing white nationalist's speech request

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Ohio State University will have to defend itself against a lawsuit filed on behalf of white nationalist leader Richard Spencer.

The suit has been filed in federal court in Columbus by Cameron Padgett, a graduate of Georgia State University in Atlanta who's organizing Spencer's tour.

Ohio State is refusing to rent campus space for a speech by Spencer, saying his appearance could cause security and safety problems on campus.

Spencer's supporters claim his free speech rights are being violated.
