Tax Reform Prompts Protest at Ohio State University

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A large group of students at Ohio State University gathered Monday on the Oval to call attention to efforts in Congress to reform the tax code at the Internal Revenue Service.

"It treats our tuition waivers as taxable income, so that changes our taxable salary from the $10,000 range to the $50,000 range. Most of us are getting waivers for really high tuition at schools across the country," says Sara Mueller, a Physics Ph.D. student at OSU.

More rallies and marches are scheduled later this week at other campuses in other states.
