Gifts intended for sick kids stolen from Columbus office

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- An east Columbus charity says even though somebody made off with donated gifts for kids with serious medical conditions, it's not going to spoil the holiday season for them.

Police are investigating the break-in over the weekend at the Special Wish Foundation offices on Memory Lane.

In addition to the gifts, a computer was also taken.

Foundation president Charlie Groezinger tells ABC6/FOX28 the thief or thieves didn't get everything, though.  Apparently, they were scared off as police responded to an alarm system that had been activated.

If you would like to donate a gift to the Special Wish Foundation, you can do so online, or drop your gift off at their offices on Memory Lane in Columbus.
