The first ten minutes weren't great, but the last 30 were spectacular. Down 22-15 early in the game, Ohio State put together a 22-2 run to take control en route to a 91-69 blowout of Maryland. The victory pulls Ohio State (14-4, 5-0 Big Ten) into a tie with Purdue for first in the Big Ten.
Keita Bates-Diop, the reigning Big Ten and National Player of the Week, had 26 points and eight rebounds to lead the Buckeyes. He led the way for the hot shooting Buckeyes by nailing 6 of 8 from 3-point range. As a team, the Buckeyes were 17-29 from deep (59%). The 17 made threes are the second most in a single game in school history.
C.J. Jackson added 14 points and 6 assists and senior Jae'Sean Tate had 13 points, 6 assists and 4 blocked shots. Reserve Andrew Dakich scored a career high 11 off the bench--all in the first half--and had 4 assists, and a steal. Ohio State shot 56 percent from the floor and had a season high 25 assists.
