(UNDATED), WTVN--A group of gay rights activists are calling out nearly half of the 20 finalists that are in the running for Amazon's 2nd North American headquarters, telling the company not to pick any of those cities for their investment.
The groups behind the "No Gay? Now Way!" campaign say those cities are in states that don't protect people from discrimination over sexual orientation or gender identity.
The nine cites are Dallas and Austin, Nashville, Atlanta, Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis, Miami, Raleigh, North Carolina, and the DC suburbs of northern Virginia.
Amazon says it will spend five-billion dollars building the news headquarters and expects to hire 50-thousand well-paid workers.
