WESTERVILLE, Ohio (WTVN) -- Funeral services are planned Friday for the two Westerville police officers shot and killed while responding to a 911 hangup call last weekend.
A viewing is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon for Officers Anthony Morelli and Eric Joering at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Westerville.
The funeral will start at 1 p.m., followed by a procession through the city.
The processional route will follow South State Street, East Schrock Road, East Walnut Street, North Spring Road and County Line Road.
The officers were shot and killed while responding to a 9-1-1 call on a domestic disturbance at an apartment along Crosswind Drive.
30-year-old Quenton Smith opened fire on the officer upon their arrival, killing them both. Smith was also shot in the incident, and remains in the hospital.
