Central Ohio school schedules disrupted by threats

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Add Lakewood Local Schools in Hebron to the list of districts canceling classes today amid concerns about keeping students and staff safe.

A post on the district's Facebook page Friday talks about the arrest of students overnight but other than that, there are few details

Meanwhile, Lancaster High School canceled classes Friday after a student received a threatening message Thursday night.

Licking Heights Central Middle School will also be closed Friday after a student reportedly escalated a threat with hate speech.

And, all schools in the Logan-Hocking School District have canceled Friday classes after a threat discovered on social media.

Students at some Columbus City schools will notice beefed-up security Friday following threats of a mass shooting.

The threat Thursday night mentioned Eastmoor Academy specifically, and that follows an earlier threat at Centennial High School. Police investigated but found no credibility to the Centennial threat.
