Jeni's Ice Creams Founder Calls out FedEx over NRA

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The CEO and Founder of Jeni's Ice Creams is calling out a shipping company that has yet to cut ties with the National Rifle Association, following the shooting two weeks ago at a high school in Florida.

In an Instagram post this week, Jeni Britton Bauer says her company is exploring options other than FedEx. She says, "#teamjenis loves you! But we’re not playing around. Our customers are demanding action from us. Drop your support of the NRA or we will be looking at other options. That’s almost 100,000 shipments — and more projected this year."

Jeni's was founded and is based in Columbus.

Companies have been under pressure to stop offering discounts for NRA members, following the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, where 17 people died on February 14th. Companies like Hertz, Delta, and United have done so, but FedEx has stood against those calls.
