Trial to begin for man charged in rape, murder of OSU student

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) --Jury selection is scheduled to get underway Monday in the murder trial of Brian Golsby.

Golsby is accused of kidnapping, raping and killing Ohio State student Reagan Tokes last year.

Franklin county prosecutors and defense attorneys will weed through more than 50 prospective jurors before opening arguments.

On Tuesday, the jury is expected to leave the courtroom for a tour of sites that were part of Tokes' last hours.

They'll visit the Bodega Cafe in the Short North, where Tokes worked, then the spot on East 3rd Ave., where it's believed Golsby attacked her.

Other sites the jury will see include the area of South Pearl Street in German Village, where Golsby allegedly raped Tokes,  and the spot at Scioto Grove Metro Park where it's believed Tokes was shot and killed.

If convicted, Golsby could get the death penalty.
