Power outage reported in downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A power outage in downtown Columbus shut down some government operations at county courts and offices at 373, 369 and 345 S. High Streets Thursday morning. 

Those offices will be closed the rest of the day.  However, Franklin County Municipal Court at 375 S. High St is not affected by the outage and will remain open.

Some Columbus public schools have been affected by the outage, as well as a number of downtown businesses.

Columbus Public Utilities and AEP are working to get power back on.
