MOUNT GILEAD, Ohio (WTVN) -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol says it doesn't appear drugs or alcohol were involved in an accident Thursday that left a man with life-threatening injuries.
The Patrol says Ryan Eddleblute, 28, of Mansfield was working on a disabled semi off I-71 north of the Mount Gilead exit when he was hit by a van driven by 38-year old William Dempsey of Warren.
Eddleblute suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Grant Medical Center.
The OSHP says charges in the case are pending as the crash investigation continues.
