Frozen pops recalled over listeria concerns

WHEELING, West Virginia (WTVN) -- A Wheeling, West Virginia manufacturer of frozen treats has issued a voluntary recall in Ohio and other states over fears of listeria contamination.

The recall involves Budget $aver Cherry Pineapple Monster Pops and Sugar Free Twin Pops made by the Ziegenfelder Corporation.

The recall also includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Maine, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

No illnesses from the products have been reported.

Ziegenfelder halted production at its facility in Denver after a routine inspection.

The company is telling consumers who bought the recalled ice pops to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
