Three dead in separate Columbus interstate accidents

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A downtown Columbus interstate was shut down for hours after an accident left two people dead.

According to Columbus police, the men had stopped along I-670 eastbound around Neil Ave. just after 10 p.m. Wednesday to help another driver who was experiencing car trouble.

Another vehicle caused a crash and as the men were talking about that accident, they were struck and killed by another vehicle.

Earlier, a woman died after darting into a lane of I-71 south near the Polaris exit.  She was struck by a semi.
