Ride of Silence remembers cycling accident victims

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) --Bicyclists from around Ohio will ride in downtown Columbus Wednesday to honor riders who have been killed in crashes.

The "Ride of Silence" raises awareness of cyclists on the streets and the laws designed to protect them.

The Ohio Department of Public Safety says 18 bicyclists were struck and killed in 2017 and another twelve-hundred riders were injured in crashes.
