For the second year in a row, The Columbus Blue Jackets have bowed out in the first round of the NHL playoffs to the team that eventually won the Stanley Cup. Last year it was Pittsburgh, now it's Washington. The CBJ had a 2-0 series lead before losing four straight once the Caps made the switch putting Braden Holtby in goal.
Before the Capitals clinching win Thursday night, I talked with Aaron Portzline of "The Athletic" about the Caps, the Jackets, some CBJ off-season news including the future of defenseman Ian Cole and more. As always with Aaron, it was a fun and informative conversation. You can check it out here.
