Columbus Police to Motorcyclists: "Don't ride like a jerk"

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Columbus Division of Police has some helpful tips for motorcyclists, following three fatalities in one day last week across the city, "Dont ride like a jerk."

On the department's facebook page, the head of the Accident Investigation Unit says many of the fatalities involve riders going over 100-miles an hour, weaving in and out of traffic, and doing wheelies.

It's also common for officers to come across motorcycle crash victims that do not have either their valid driver's license or proper motorcycle endorsement.

The post includes proper links to motorcycle safety guidelines through the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
