It's been a busy week for the Blue Jackets with the free agent signing of Riley Nash and the departure of free agents Matt Calvert, Ian Cole and Thomas Vanek, but it's the comments by coach John Tortorella in Aaron Portzline's article in "The Athletic" that has drawn most of the attention. Tortorella blasted the comments by former Jacket Jack Johnson, who signed this week with Pittsburgh. Johnson's remark of joining a 'winning culture' and Penguins GM Jim Rutherford seeming to indicate there was a hidden motive for Johnson being a healthy scratch during the Jackets playoff series with Washington drew Tortorella's ire.
On "The Drive" Tuesday afternoon, Stan Jackson and I talked with Fox Sports Ohio Blue Jacket reporter and 105.7, The Zone's own Dave Maetzold about all things Blue Jackets. As usual, good stuff from Dave. If you missed it, you can check it out here.
