COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A Columbus woman who claimed she choked a man in self-defense is now facing a charge of murdering him.
Marshall Williams, 35, was found unresponsive and with a phone cord wrapped around his neck in a room at the Super 8 Motel on East Dublin-Granville Road early Sunday.
At the time, 37-year old Adea Williams was charged with assault.
Now that Marshall Williams has died, police have upgraded the charge to murder.
Adea Williams remains in jail, pending arraignment.
