Zach Smith interviewed by OSU Investigators

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Former Ohio State Wide Receivers Coach Zach Smith has been interviewed by the investigators looking into what Head Coach Urban Meyer knew about the domestic violence incident from 2015.

Smith's attorney, Brad Koffel, says the interview with three of the lawyers in charge of the investigation lasted several hours, and that "Zach did not refuse to answer any questions."

Smith was fired in July after his ex-wife, Courtney Smith, filed a civil protection order against him. Meyer was asked about the alleged incident between Courtney and Zach from 2015, at Big ten Media Days last month in Chicago, indicating it was "nothing."

A report from reporter Brett McMurphy later indicated that Meyer knew of the incident, citing text messages between Courtney and Meyer's wife Shelley.

Meyer was placed on paid administrative leave, as investigators look into any possible violations of Title IX, and whether Meyer actually knew of the incident.
