9-11 memorial set for Statehouse lawn

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A memorial to the victims of the September 11th attacks is opening to the public Monday on the West Lawn of the Ohio Statehouse.

The memorial will feature 2,977 individual flags to represent each person killed during the attacks.

When seen from above, the design of the flags will represent the World Trade towers with a space in the shape of the Pentagon and an open strip representing the field where United Flight 93 crashed.
