COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- An elite team of highly trained central Ohio firefighters is heading to North Carolina to offer assistance with Hurricane Florence.
Members of the Upper Scioto Regional Water Rescue Team left Columbus Wednesday for Raleigh, North Carolina.
The group is made up of firefighters from six local agencies and will now be deployed across the region to assist with water rescues where Florence is expected.
The team is expected to return to Columbus before the weekend.
