The Columbus Blue Jackets open training camp with both optimism and question marks. A franchise that has made the NHL playoffs in consecutive years for the first time in team history is loaded with young, up and coming talent. Unfortunately, the long-term future of two stars is up in the air. Artemi Panarin and Sergei Bobrovsky are both in the final year of their contracts. Neither is signed beyond this year and neither wants to discuss their contract situations during the season.
Coach John Tortorella's contract situation, however, has been sorted out thanks to a two year extension through the 2020-21 season. Coach Tortorella joined "The Drive" on 105.7, The Zone Thursday and discussed his extension, the situations with Panarin and Bobrovsky, the teams expectations and more. If you missed it, you can check it out here.
