Open Carry Gun Demonstration Today on OSU Campus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Ohio State University sent a notice out to students and staff Friday, notifying them of a legal demonstration of the state's open carry gun laws on campus.

The notice is for a group that is unaffiliated with the university, and state law allows them to open carry in public areas on university property.

The same group held a similar demonstration on campus two years ago. That demonstration was held shortly after a man ran his car onto the sidewalk near Watts Hall, injuring several people, then getting out of the vehicle and began stabbing others. That man was shot dead by an officer with the Ohio State University Police Department.

Friday's demonstration is scheduled from 11AM to 3PM.
