One dead, another Injured in Linden Shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Columbus Police says a man who initiated a drive-by shooting in the Linden area Wednesday evening ended up getting shot dead himself.

It started just after 8PM, when 29-year-old Deshaun Coffman drove by a residence along East 21st Avenue, and began opening fire. A female at the home was hit, and was later taken to OSU Wexner Medical Center for treatment.

That victim's identity has not been released.

Officers were later called to another residence along East 21st Avenue, where the vehicle had crashed into a house.

It turns out that Coffman was hit by retaliatory gunfire, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are still looking for that other shooter.
