State Liquor Control to Operate "Last Call" Store

COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--The state of Ohio is planning to test a new liquor store concept at the closed Giant Eagle grocery store on Neil Avenue in Victorian Village.

Officials with the Department of Liquor Control say they will be operating a new type of liquor agency called Last Call, on two weekends a month, to sell items which normally end up sitting in the state's warehouses.

Last Call will be open on October 18th through the 21st, and again on the 25th through the 28th.

Agents say most of the spirits for sale will be from companies that have changed labels or bottle designs, or haven't moved product as quickly as expected.
