Reconfigured Dublin Roundabout reopens

DUBLIN, Ohio (WTVN)--The city of Dublin reopened the roundabout at Riverside Drive and State Route 161 ahead of schedule.

The interchange reopened late Sunday, after it was originally set to reopen Monday morning, in time for the rush hour drive.

Crews reconfigured the interchange, specifically for traffic heading northbound.

Now, traffic in the left lane is either turning left onto 161 or staying on Riverside Drive. The middle lane is now a dedicated northbound lane, and the right lane is a dedicated southbound lane.

The previous configuration led to numerous crashes, with city officials reporting at least one to two accident there per week.
