New CCS Superintendent to Start in March

COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--Officials with Columbus City Schools are saying Dr. Talisa Dixon will start as their new Superintendent full-time in March next year.

The District had originally hoped to have the position begin in January, but an adjustment period for Dr. Dixon between Columbus and her current role made the delay necessary.

The Board of Education held a special meeting over the weekend and voted to approve the transition which will see Dr. Dixon in Columbus at least once a week while she moves out of her role as Superintendent of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights school district.

Dr. Dixon replaces Dr. John Stanford, who served as Interim Superintendent following the retirement of Dr. Dan Good in December of 2017.
