New CCS Superintendent To Be One of Highest-Paid in Franklin County

COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--Details in the new superintendent of Columbus City Schools contract are showing she will become one of the highest paid public employees in the County.

According to records made public over the weekend, when Dr. Talisa Dixon begins working full-time in March, she will have a higher salary than the Mayor of Columbus, the Franklin County Administrator, and the Governor of Ohio.

Dixon's contract is still not as high as what previous superintendent Dan Good received because it does not include the same tax-deferred compensations.

Officials noted the superintendent position is an almost 24-hour a day job with no weekends off and oversees the largest district in the state with over 50-thousand students.
