"The Game" Memories From Buckeye Great Rex Kern

"The Game" has arrived. Ohio State and Michigan go at it for the 115th time Saturday and the stakes are high. Both teams are 10-1 and the winner takes the Big Ten East title and heads to Indianapolis to play Northwestern for the Big Ten Championship.

Back when Rex Kern played quarterback for Ohio State, the stakes in the Buckeye/Wolverine game meant a Big Ten title and a trip to the Rose Bowl. Kern's Buckeyes beat Michigan in 1968, en route to a national championship, were upset in Ann Arbor in 1969, and then downed the Wolverines, his senior year, in 1970.

Kern joined Stan Jackson and me on "The Drive" on 105.7, The Zone Monday with memories of the Michigan game, of Woody Hayes and more. It was an entertaining conversation to say the least. You can check it out here.
