COMMERCIAL POINT, Ohio (24-7 News)--A man is dead and two children are in critical condition after a crash in Commercial Point Sunday night.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident happened on State Route 762 west of Walker Road during a police pursuit, that involved the South Bloomfield Police Department.
Police say the chase began in South Bloomfield and continued along U.S. 23 before the driver lost control going too fast on a curve and hit a tree.
Two children, both under the age of four, were taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital in critical condition while the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
While SBPD was involved in the pursuit, the State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
