COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--In a rematch of the 2018 Big Ten Championship Game, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Northwestern Wildcats will meet up next season in Evanston for a rare Friday night game.
Northwestern announced the date change yesterday to its season ticket holders. The game will be played at Ryan Field on October 18th with kickoff planned for 8 p.m. Eastern time.
This will be the first regular-season meeting between OSU and the Wildcats since 2013.
The Buckeyes were victorious against the Wildcats in the Conference Championship Game in Indianapolis on December 1st, 45-24, to earn a birth in the Rose Bowl January 1st against Washington.
The Big Ten Conference announced teams would begin playing conference games on Friday nights in 2017.
