Last Chance Notices Being Sent to Inactive Voters

COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--Almost 300-thousand last chance notices are being sent out to Ohio voters about to be removed from statewide registration rolls.

Outgoing Secretary of State John Husted announced Wednesday the mailings were going out to residents in all 88 of Ohio's counties.  Records show the highest number of notices will be sent to voters in Franklin County, followed by Cuyahoga and Hamilton.

Under Ohio law, the registration of any voter is revoked if they have not cast a ballot over six years and do not respond to mail sent by the county board of elections.
