COLUMBUS, Ohio (24-7 News)--Another wrongful death lawsuit is being filed against the Mount Carmel Health System and Dr. William Husel, bringing the total to three.
Records show the lawsuit was filed Wednesday on behalf of 44-year-old Troy Allison who died of an alleged lethal dose of morphine last July.
Two previous lawsuits were filed this week against Husel and Mount Carmel in the suspected fentanyl deaths of Janet Kavanaugh and Bonnie Austin.
The Columbus Division of Police said they are sending their cold case unit to examine past deaths at the hospital involving Dr. Husel as possible homicides.
Mt. Carmel CEO Ed Lamb released a video statement earlier this week, saying the doctor has been fired, and an investigation is underway.
