"Polar Vortex" Returning to Central Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Forecasters are sending out the warning about dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills that are forecast for the middle of this week.

The National Weather Service says the arctic air mass from Canada will settle in central Ohio on Wednesday, with high temperatures during the day Wednesday and Thursday in the single-digits, and overnight low temperatures below zero.

The weather will also bring wind chills to between 30-and-40 below zero, which could be potentially dangerous for outside exposure for long periods of time.

The cold has the capability of setting record lows for those days.
